Postive 2...

After he has his accident he becomes even more generous. He created foundations to help people with the same problems as he. He studied stem cell research and put almost all his time in trying to walk again. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Positive 1...

As I have been saying Christopher Reeve was a great man. Before his accident he only wantd to act. When he was offered a spot in a movie he didn't care about the money he cared about the part. His love was acting not money. Image and video hosting by TinyPic

His Inspiration...

My inspiration...

Superman has always been my favorite super hero and Christopher Reeve was superman. Even though this superman is before my time, it was the first one I ever saw. It may seem a little cheesy and lame, but it is still my favorite. Image and video hosting by TinyPic That is why when I found out what his disability was he just became more inspirational. The foundation that he created made him even more inspirational. I always wanted the foundation to figure out how to cure people with spinal cord injuries. My aunt was a quadraplegic and I wanted to see her walk again. That dream never came true... She passed away last June after being in a wheelchair for 29 years. He just seems like the perfect guy...

Moments to success...

Christopher Reeves had been interested in acting at a yound age. He started acting in school plays when he was eight years old and at age nine he was choosen to have a part in a play in the professional theatre called McCarter Theatre.Image and video hosting by TinyPic When Reeves was 15 he became an apprentice at the Williamstown Theater Festival in Massachusetts. When he was sixteen he had an agent. After he graduated high school, Reeves went to college and tried out for ice hockey but soon decided he would rather stay behind the curtain. Throughout his college years he still acted professionally and his agent sceduled all of his additions around his classes. He studied theatre in Britain and France and was soon employed as a dogsbody, an errand boy, he taught the actors to talk in an American accent. He then moved to Paris and started acting hisself. By the time he graduated from college he had performed in many widely respected theatres. To pay for college he started acting in small films and television series. This was just the beginning of Christopher Reeve's acting career.

Adversity...

Christopher Reeves was in an accident on May 27, 1995, which put him in a wheelchair for the rest of his life. He was thrown from his horse during an eventing competition in Culpeper, Virginia. This is what made him a quadriplegic. Though that did not stop him, he then decided on a new role in the world as the founder of Chritopher Reeve Foundation and co-founded the Reeve-Irvine Research Center. The foundations help people with spinal cord injuries much like his own.
